Council members consist of the heads of major bilateral, multilateral and UN agencies, as well as diplomatic missions that have explicit development activities and provide significant aid in the country. Membership is voluntary. The Council’s activities are supported by a secretariat.
The current Chairperson is Mr. Ozan Sevimli, World Bank Country Manager and Ms. Parvathy Ramaswami, UN Resident Coordinator and Mr. Peter Riley, USAID Country Director in Tajikistan are Deputy Chairs.
The DCC usually meets once a month; a core group may meet as needed to discuss issues that may be elevated to the entire membership.
