French Embassy has 3 main missions : political, economic and cultural.
On the political point of view, on December 2016 first political consultations were launched and they will be renewed on October 2017.
On the economic front, the Embassy is working on a mission of the MEDEF International planned in January 2018 and supports all the French companies which are asking questions about the country. 3 main projects followed, mainly in the energy and transport sectors. Construction of a control tower/international airport of Dushanbe.
On the cultural and humanitarian fields: delivering of 4000 books in schools and universities; health initiatives with the support of Foundation Merieux and Aga Khan Foundation (the Institute of mother and child in Kabul supported by France and Aga Khan Foundation could be duplicated in Tajikistan); different projects on education (as opening of a French class in Khujand; cooperation between Sorbonne-Almaty Institute and ministry of Education); exhibition planned in Paris in 2019 with the support of the main museums in Tajikistan.
